About .se domain name
.se is the top-level domain for Sweden, one of the richest and most developed countries in the world. It's a fascinating place for any online entrepreneur.
History
.se was established in 1986. Until 2003, registering a domain was quite complicated due to strict rules. Companies and government institutions could only register domain names that almost exactly matched their official names. Individuals were allowed just one domain under the second-level domain .pp.se, where 'pp' stands for 'privatperson'.
Because of these strict rules, the generic domain extension .nu was more popular in Sweden for a long time than .se. 'Nu' means 'now' in Swedish and was more readily available. In April 2003, it was decided to make the .se domain extension available without restrictions, leading to a rapid increase in popularity and registered .se domains.
In 2003, .se began allowing internationalized domain names, enabling special characters like å, ä, ö, ü, and é to be used in a .se domain name. This was expanded in 2007 to include all special characters used in Swedish, Finnish, Meänkieli, Sami, Romani, and Yiddish.

.se is managed by IIS SE. The domain can be registered worldwide without restrictions, with some exceptions on a list of blocked or reserved names. The general terms and conditions for each .se registration can be found on the registry's website.

How do I transfer my domain name to my.host?
Do you have a domain somewhere else and want to transfer it to my.host? You need a transfer code or authorization code from your current provider. For some domains you also need to turn off the domain lock.
Log in to the control panel, search for your domain name and click transfer. Then enter the transfer code and check out. For .nl domains the transfer is immediate; for extensions such as .com, .net and .info it can take up to 5 days.
