How do I transfer my domain name to mijn.host?
Do you have a domain somewhere else and want to transfer it to mijn.host? In this article, we explain how you can transfer your domain name to mijn.host.
To transfer, a transfer code or authorization code is required. You can request this from your current provider. For some domains, you also need to remove the so-called "domain lock" from your domain via your current provider.
Getting started with transferring to mijn.host
Log in to our control panel via https://mijn.host/cp
Don't have an account yet? No problem. Register here: https://mijn.host/registreren/ after this you can log in..
Once you are logged in, you will see the domain searcher on the dashboard. Enter the domain name you want to transfer here.
In the window that opens, you will see your domain name with the "transfer" button next to it. Click the button and the domain name is now added to your shopping cart. If you still need hosting, you can optionally choose this. If you already have hosting or only want to transfer the domain name, click on "To Shopping Cart" at the top.
You now have the domain in your shopping cart and you can enter your transfer code via the enter transfer code link. If you do not have a code yet, you can already transfer the domain without a code. You can enter the code later or email our support department with the code and they will arrange this for you.
A window will open and here you can enter the code. Click on save changes.
That's it. You can now check out and your domain name will be transferred. For .nl domains, this is immediate. For certain extensions such as .com / .net / .info and other TLD's, the transfer can take 5 days.
Can I also transfer multiple domains?
You can also transfer multiple domains at once via our control panel. Once you are logged in to our control panel, hover your mouse over the Domain Names icon and you will see "Order domain name", or click on domain names and you will also have the option "Order Domain Name".
Click on order domain name. You will enter a window with a box to search for your domain name, and below that it says: Order multiple domain names. Even though it says order, this can also simply be used for transferring.
You will see the following window:
If you want to transfer multiple domains, you can enter the domain name and then, after a space, enter the transfer code. This way you can do them all at once. So, for example:
domain1.nl TRANSFERCODE1
domain2.nl TRANSFERCODE2
domain3.com TRANSFERCODE3
etc.
After this, you click on search and the domains will be looked up. If you want to do a lot of them, this can take longer. Do you have a really large number, for example more than 50 domains? Please contact our support department, they can help you further.
Exceptions for transfer codes for certain extensions.
Here you can read more information about requesting transfer codes. For example, for certain extensions that do not go through your provider, or codes that must be specially requested from your current provider.
.be domains. For these, you request the code via: https://www.dnsbelgium.be/
*.uk such as .co.uk domains. For this, you need to enter an IPS TAG at your current provider. The IPS TAG that you can enter or pass on to your current provider is: REGISTRAR-EU
After entering the IPS TAG, the domain can be transferred.
.eu domains have a code that expires quickly. If you do not receive a new one from your current provider after an error, you can request your authorization code yourself via: https://eurid.eu/en/my-eu/
.hu domains. This involves forms and must be done manually. Please contact our support department for this.
