How do I change the DNS settings of my domain name?

You can change the DNS settings of your domain name via our control panel.

Once you are logged in, you will immediately see an overview of the domain names under your account. Click on the domain name for which you want to change the DNS settings. At the top of the screen, there is a "DNS settings" button. Click on this button to directly change the DNS settings.


On this page you can add DNS records or change DNS records.

The following fields need to be filled in:

  • Name
    Enter what the record relates to here. Leave empty if it concerns the main domain name, or otherwise specify the subdomain. You can also use a * here, if it applies to all subdomains.
  • Priority
    The priority of a record allows multiple records to be set with different priorities. For example, when multiple MX records are set, you can specify different priorities. This means the record with the highest priority will be called first. 
  • Type
    The record type indicates the function of the record. You can choose between the following types:
    A: This allows you to specify an IP address that the record should point to
    AAAA: The same as an A record but for IPv6. This allows you to specify an IPv6 address that the record should point to
    CNAME: This allows you to specify another domain that the record should point to
    SPF: You use this record to specify different IP addresses for an SPF record. However, if you want to add an SPF record for your domain name, you use a TXT record.
    SRV: An SRV record is used to define the location of servers or specific services. This record is especially used for Office 365 services, as well as Teamspeak or a Minecraft server.
    TXT: A TXT record is versatile and can be used for multiple functions. Therefore, multiple TXT records can be present. For example, a TXT record can be used to verify the domain name, or to set up SPF or DKIM records.

Note: Only change the DNS settings if you know what you are doing. Incorrect configuration can result in your domain name not functioning properly!
