Can I use my domain name immediately after ordering?
If you have just ordered a domain name or hosting, you naturally want to get started right away.
A domain name is registered immediately after your order. In most cases, your domain name will actually be active within a few hours. For some extensions it can take a bit longer, 24 to 48 hours.
A domain transfer can take longer, depending on the domain extension. For a .nl transfer, for example, this happens immediately once the transfer token is provided, but for a .com or .net transfer it can take up to 7 days (depending on the current provider).
