Previously, we became a registrar with SIDN (.nl) and DNS Belgium (.be), and now also with Internetstiftelsen for .nu & .se domain names. This new milestone enables my.host to directly register and manage .nu & .se domain names without the intervention of a third party. What does this mean for you as a customer? What is Internetstiftelsen?
Internetstiftelsen is the organization responsible for managing the .nu & .se domain names. They ensure that these domains are registered and managed reliably and securely. Internetstiftelsen is an independent Swedish non-profit organization committed to an open and secure internet and is also active in the field of internet knowledge and digital inclusion in Sweden. As a registrar, we are now directly connected to Internetstiftelsen, which gives us access to a wide range of benefits that we are happy to share with you.
Multiple benefits for the customer
Free transfers
As we are now directly connected with Internetstiftelsen, we can offer the transfer of .nu & .se domain names to my.host for free. Do you have a .nu or .se domain with another provider? Then you can transfer it to us at no cost, just like with .nl domain names.
Faster action for holder verification
For .nu & .se domain names, holder verification is mandatory. If the information is incorrect or not verified in time, a domain may be placed on serverHold status—causing the associated website and/or email to become unreachable. As a direct registrar, we now receive such signals directly from Internetstiftelsen, allowing us to act faster and inform or assist you as a customer in a timely manner. This prevents unexpected downtime of your domain.
