In 2025, some registries will increase their prices, but we remain committed to limiting price increases where possible. In this blog post, we provide you with an overview of the upcoming changes.
Price increase at SIDN for .nl domains
SIDN, the organization responsible for the registration of .nl domains, has announced that they will increase their rates for registrars by 2.5% in 2025. The purchase price for a .nl domain name will rise from € 4.15 to € 4.25 per year. SIDN indicates they are compelled to implement this price increase due to inflation and investments in their ICT infrastructure and domain name registration system.
Good news for our customers: at my.host we will not pass on this price increase. This means that our selling price for .nl domain names in 2025 will also remain € 4.99. We understand how important it is for you to have a reliable and affordable domain, and we do not want to unnecessarily burden you with cost increases that we can absorb.
Price change for .be domains
On the other hand, DNS Belgium, the registry for .be domain names, has announced a significant rate increase of 37.5%. The purchase price for registrars for .be domains will rise from € 4.00 to € 5.50 per year starting in 2025. This means we are forced to adjust our selling price for .be domains.
From 2025, the price of a .be domain name at my.host will rise from € 5.99 to € 6.99 per year. We have tried to keep this price increase as limited as possible, namely an increase of 16.7%, which is significantly less than the increase by DNS Belgium. Therefore, we will absorb a portion of this increase so that you still benefit from one of the sharpest prices on the market for .be domains.
Rates hosting packages
Recently, several hosting providers have increased their rates for the coming period, and we also receive many questions from our customers about our plans. We are pleased to announce that the prices of all our hosting packages will also remain unchanged in 2025. This means that you will continue to receive the same reliable hosting services at the competitive rates you are accustomed to from us, without any price increases.
