Welcome to development blog #3. August was marked by the launch of my.host, dark mode in the control panel, accessibility, and a significant expansion of the API. Additionally, improvements were made to domains, DNS, payments, and VPS.
Major updates
August had two major updates: my.host and the new dark mode for the control panel. More about these below.
my.host live
On August 6th, my.host went live: a fully English website, control panel, blog, knowledge base, and emails.
Some relevant updates accompanying this:
- Language switcher
- Shopping cart stays in sync when you switch languages
- Cookie consent and VAT preference synchronized between languages
- English knowledge base
- Trustpilot widget on the international site
For Dutch customers, nothing changes on mijn.host.
Dark mode in the control panel
After launching the feedback page, one of the most upvoted ideas was dark mode. We heard the feedback and got to work quickly. The control panel now supports a dark mode. You can activate this by clicking the moon icon in the upper right corner.

VPS
In the control panel, the VPS page has undergone a significant renovation. A renewed overview, the option to create a VPC network, several handy action buttons, and a revamped monitoring page. Additionally, the password requirements for a Windows VPS have been clarified, and the order flow has been improved accordingly.
Accessibility
Several targeted a11y improvements on the website, control panel, and blog (especially buttons, labels, contrast, and navigation). This aligns with internet.nl and broader quality standards. We are still working on this project; it is not yet completed. Our goal is ultimately to achieve full WCAG AA compliance.
