Welcome to development blog #2. In July, we took the knowledge base under our own management, expanded the ideas board, and implemented a series of smaller improvements to DNS, VPS, migrations, and the API.
Major updates
Knowledge base under our own management
Our knowledge base has been fully self-managed since July. This makes updating articles faster and searching more reliable.
Did you find something missing or unclear? Let us know via a ticket or the ideas board; we continuously update the knowledge base.
Ideas board: images and privacy
The ideas board from June has received two upgrades:
- when you submit a new idea, you can include an image, useful for a screenshot or mockup;
- last names are shown as initials, to better protect privacy on the board.
Voting, submitting, and tracking what’s under consideration or has been launched works the same as before.
DNSSEC: Automatically create DNSKEY
If there is no DNSKEY available for a domain, the system now automatically creates one. This prevents DNSSEC from being “half” ready and saves you from having to manage it manually. A small step behind the scenes, but one that prevents security from accidentally being delayed.
Virtual Private Servers
Plesk on AlmaLinux 10
For VPSes, there is a new installation recipe: Plesk with AlmaLinux 10.
Ubuntu 26.04
In the unmanaged VPS configuration, Ubuntu 26.04 has been added to the options.
Clearer console
We have refreshed the VPS console: error messages are clearer and the display is tidier, allowing you to quickly see what’s going on if something goes wrong.
Other updates and bug fixes
Below are some more minor updates and bug fixes that have been implemented.
Domain names / DNS
- DNS settings: long domain names remain neatly on one line (no odd shifting of the name field).
- Forwarder domains: DNS synchronization with PowerDNS/DirectAdmin restored.
- SIDN: more reliable handling after registration or transfer.
- Domain checkers: .tk is no longer available.
- Landing promotion for ccTLDs adapts to the visitor’s country.
- Internal transfers for IIS domains improved.
Migrations
- Free migration requests are correctly honored, even if the migration date is more than 30 days after the request.
Control Panel
- Header redesigned.
- Various UI improvements.
API
PUT /api/v2/domains/{domain}now supports anameserversarray, allowing you to submit nameservers directly as a list.
