Resolving the LSAPI "possible dead lock" error

In this article we explain how you can resolve the following error message:

2022-11-09 13:02:40.082566 [NOTICE] [1632738] [77.164.177.221:54514-Q:B158079F255B4EA0-4#domein.nl-443] No request delivery notification has been received from LSAPI application, possible dead lock.

This error message often occurs because the Litespeed web server no longer receives a response from the back-end, in most cases from the PHP application. This can have several causes:

  • Memory limit is set too low
  • The PHP application needs more resources than available

Memory limit is set too low

You can increase the memory_limit in DirectAdmin. In this article we explain how you can do this.

The PHP application needs more resources than available

It is possible that this error message occurs because the PHP application does not have enough resources. You can check this in DirectAdmin and navigate to "Resource Usage" in the main menu. If you see messages here about limits being reached, we advise you to upgrade your hosting package.

See this article on how to upgrade your hosting package.
