How do I create an FTP account?
To connect to your hosting via FTP, it is first necessary to create an FTP account. Creating a new FTP account is easy via our control panel. Click on Hosting in the menu and select your hosting package.
Choose "FTP accounts" in the left menu. Then click on Add FTP account in the top right.
Enter the following values in the screen:
- Domain name
Select the domain name for which you want to create an FTP account - Username
Choose a unique username. This may consist of numbers, letters and the following characters: .-_ - Password
Choose a strong password for the FTP account - Root directory
Here you choose which folder the user should start in once logged in via FTP. You can choose from the following options:- FTP account with the domain home directory as the root directory (1 level above public_html)
The FTP account will start in the /home/gebruikersnaam/domeinnaam/ folder - FTP account with the username as the root directory in the public_html folder
The FTP account will start in the /home/gebruikersnaam/domeinnaam/public_html/ftp-gebruikersnaam/ folder - Specify directory yourself.
Enter a custom path
- FTP account with the domain home directory as the root directory (1 level above public_html)
