Export a database in DirectAdmin
You want to export your database but do not know how? In this knowledge base article, we explain how you can easily export your database via DirectAdmin.
Via DirectAdmin
This is the fastest and easiest way. Log in to DirectAdmin. In the Account Manager menu, go to Databases, or in Dutch Account beheer and Databasen.
Click on manage/beheren next to the database you want to export.
In the management screen, you now have multiple options. The functions for export/import/repair etc. are located at the bottom, you might have to scroll down a bit. Choose export.
You can export as .sql (raw sql file) or as GZ (packed/compressed) choose which you want.
Done. You can now import your downloaded database elsewhere or save it.
Via PhpMyAdmin
Log in to DirectAdmin, select Extra Features in the left bar and then PhpMyAdmin.
To access the PhpMyAdmin page you sometimes have to wait a while. Sometimes your browser blocks pop-ups, so also check your address bar to see if there is a notification.
Once logged into PhpMyAdmin click on the database you want to export on the left side of the home screen.
Now select Export in the menu and then click Go to start exporting.
