Are automatic backups made of my hosting?

For all web hosting packages, we automatically create daily and weekly backups. You don't have to worry about this anymore. And if you still want to restore a file or backup? It's easily done! For this, we use the backup software JetBackup.

Advantages of JetBackup backup software

JetBackup is a well-known partner in the hosting world. JetBackup creates 1 backup of your package every day each week. This ensures you always have the most recent backup. 

Additionally, only the files that have been modified are backed up. This saves a lot of resources and makes the web server a lot faster. Most hosting providers create a daily full backup of the files, which can make the web server (and therefore your website) very slow. You won't experience this issue with us!

Backup frequency

We create a backup of your files every day and keep them for a few weeks. All backups include all databases, so you can always restore them should an emergency occur. The created backup includes, among other things, email, webmail, website content (filesystem), and MySQL databases. We keep the backups for up to 30 days. 

Restoring a backup

Did you accidentally overwrite a file? Or is your database corrupt? Don't worry, you can instantly restore a backup via our control panel. Fortunately, you won't lose much data, because a backup is created every day.

You can restore all files from a backup at once, but it is also possible to restore individual files. Even restoring a single database is no problem.

Don't want to restore a backup, but just download it to your computer? This is also possible.

Backup retention

We keep backups of your site going back up to 30 days.

The backup setup is configured so that we create a backup every day, and after 7 days a full backup is created for that week. Then the backup starts over again. We do this 4 times so that you have a full backup for every week of the entire month. And 7 days of the current week.

This way you have backups available for the whole month that you can restore at the file level. Files, Mail, Databases, Settings, everything is saved. The backups are also stored externally in our other data center (in the Netherlands, of course) for security. This way you can be sure that your data is always safe.
