Adding domains to a hosting package, even as a Reseller

When you purchase a hosting package at mijn.host, you will automatically be asked for a domain during the ordering process. If you order a domain at that time, we will immediately link this domain to your new hosting package. If you order multiple domains, we will always take the first one. Now it is possible that you only ordered a hosting package and want to link a domain later, or you want to link multiple domains to your hosting package. You can do this as follows.

Regular Hosting packages

Log in to your mijn.host control panel and click on your hosting package, then click on the edit icon on the right. Then click on the domain names tab. When you click on 'Add domain name' you will be asked for your domain name plus extension. You can basically enter any url here, a folder will be created in your hosting package where all files of your website can be placed. However, you cannot actually go 'online' with just any url in this way. When you enter a domain name that you own, the website is automatically online.

You can also add pointers and aliases here, read more about that here.

Reseller Hosting packages

For Reseller hosting packages it works almost the same, although there are a few extra steps.  Just like above, go to your hosting package and click on the edit icon, then click on users. Before you can link a domain you must first add the relevant user (or customer), we recommend choosing a name that matches the domain name. You also need to define the hosting packages you want to resell first. Then fill in the rest of the details, including the corresponding domain name.

If you want to add a domain that is hosted externally, we refer to this article.
