Create a free SSL for a user as a reseller

On all mijn.host web hosting packages we offer free SSL via Let's Encrypt. And of course also for the users of a reseller. Do you offer that extra bit of service or are your users unable to figure it out? As a reseller you can of course also do this for your users.

In this manual we explain how the free SSL certificate can be requested for your users.

  1. Log in to DirectAdmin.
  2. Make sure that SSL is enabled for your user in the package, if not, enable it.
  3. Log in as the user you want to give SSL to. Read how to do that here: Log in as a user
  4. Then go to Account Manager and then SSL Certificates.
  1. In the SSL window, choose "Get automatic certificate from ACME Provider" and check the options you want to include on the certificate (www, mail, pop, smtp, etc.). If your user also has subdomains, you can check those as well.
  2. If your user has created a new subdomain after requesting a certificate and it also needs to have SSL, you can submit the SSL request again. Follow the same steps and check the new subdomains.
Click Save to initiate the SSL request. Your user now has SSL and the certificate will be renewed automatically.
