Add your own name servers with the Whitelabel package

Are you a reseller with the Whitelabel package but still want to set up your own custom name servers for your customers? In this knowledge base article you can read how to do that. If your domain is external, you need to perform steps 1 to 3 externally. 

This guide is only for resellers with the Whitelabel package enabled. Are you not sure if you have this enabled? You can check this via this article: Whitelabel package
Using the details below without whitelabel can cause downtime.

You can of course use our standard Whitelabel name servers. These are already active in your control panel.

If you prefer custom name servers, you can set them up by following these steps.

To start, enter the domain name you are going to use for the whitelabel name servers in the field below:

Domain name:

Step 1

Log in to our Control Panel via mijn.host/cp.

Step 2

Create the following NS records for your domain name in our Control Panel, click on + Add new record. 

Step 3

Create the following two A records for IPv4 (optionally you can also create ns3):

ns1.domein.nl to 109.163.225.70
ns2.domein.nl to 85.203.42.55
ns3.domein.nl to 83.96.237.170

Didn't fill in the field at the top? Then replace [domein.nl] with your own domain.

Create the following two AAAA records for IPv6 (optionally you can also create ns3):

ns1.domein.nl to 2a03:5180:7:3:2e32:802f:fec2:1
ns2.domein.nl to 2a11:4881:1:9944::1
ns3.domein.nl to 2a02:348:5e6:1::b6a1

Didn't fill in the field at the top? Then replace [domein.nl] with your own domain.
Create name server

Also don't forget to click on save

Step 4

Next, log in to DirectAdmin as a reseller, then go to Server Manager and Name Servers:

Now add the two name servers here, in this case they are:

ns1.domein.nl
ns2.domein.nl

Your whitelabel name servers have now been created. To configure these in to set up on a domain, you only need to apply them to your chosen domain. This can be done using this guide for changing name servers.
