How can I upgrade or expand my instance?

In this article, we will show you how to upgrade an instance or expand the volume via the GUI.

Upgrading your instance (cpu/RAM etc.):

You can upgrade your instance as follows:

1. Make sure you stop the instance. Otherwise, you cannot upgrade.

   

2. After stopping, you can upgrade the instance. Click on the 'scale' icon.

   

3. In the new window, select a new configuration. And click OK

   

4. After this, you can start the instance again and you will have a new configuration.

Expanding your instance (volume )

You can expand your disk size. You can do this as follows:

1. Go to the instance that needs a resize.
2. Click on volumes

   

3. Then click on the volume of the instance

   

4. In the new window, choose resize volume in the top right corner:

   

5. A pop-up window will appear. Enter your new desired volume size here.
   Enter the total size. So if your disk is 10GB and you want to add 20GB, enter 30GB.

   

6. Click OK and after this you can go back to your instance. Restart the instance via the GUI to apply the disk size.
