Microsoft 365 tenant migration

It is possible to transfer your existing Microsoft 365 tenant completely, or partially, to mijn.host. You will keep Microsoft 365, but the billing will run through us.

We can take over the Microsoft 365 tenant completely, or manually migrate it partially.

Full tenant migration

Do you already have a Microsoft 365 tenant and want to keep everything as it is now, but only purchase the licenses through us? That is certainly possible. This can easily be done by granting us permission in the Microsoft 365 portal as a licensing partner. There are no migration costs associated with this method, because everything remains the same and only the licenses will run through us.

You must have Admin rights within your Microsoft 365 tenant to perform this. If you do not have these, first contact the current supplier of your Microsoft 365 licenses.
Step-by-step plan
  1. Order the desired licenses via https://mijn.host/microsoft-365/
  2. In the next step on our website, you will be asked if you want to create a completely new tenant, or if you want to deliver the licenses in an existing tenant. Choose the second option here. Enter the domain name of your tenant, which can be found in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center under Settings > Domains. This concerns the onmicrosoft.com domain, not your own custom domain if you also have one.
  3. After placing the order on our website, you will receive an email asking you to grant us permission to deliver the licenses in your Microsoft 365 tenant. You can give this permission by clicking the link in this email. You will be redirected to your Microsoft 365 tenant and can then grant permission.
  4. After granting permission, your licenses will be delivered. You can cancel the licenses with your previous supplier. If you previously purchased these directly via Microsoft, you can cancel these licenses within the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, under Billing > Your products.

Partially migrate your tenant

Do you already have a Microsoft 365 tenant, but want to split it up, for example, and transfer a portion of the users or domains to a new tenant? We can arrange this for you, but it is a manual process.

Keep in mind that a domain name can only exist in 1 tenant, so you cannot have 2 tenants containing the same domain name.

You must have Admin rights within your Microsoft 365 tenant to perform this. If you do not have these, first contact the current supplier of your Microsoft 365 licenses.
With a partial migration, only the full Exchange environment of the respective users (e-mail, calendars, contacts) is transferred. OneDrive, Teams, and other items will therefore not be transferred.
Migration costs

Because this is a manual process, additional migration costs are involved.

The costs for this are € 39 per user (excl. VAT) with a starting rate of at least 3 users. If you want us to perform a partial migration of more than 15 users, please contact us, and we can offer a discount on this rate.

Step-by-step plan

The steps are as follows.

  1. If you agree with the above migration costs, order the desired licenses via https://mijn.host/microsoft-365/
  2. In the next step on our website, you will be asked if you want to create a completely new tenant, or if you want to deliver the licenses in an existing tenant. Choose the first option here. We will create a new tenant and our employees wiland perform the partial migration to your new tenant.
  3. Contact our support to request the partial migration.
  4. After we have completed the migration, you can cancel the licenses from your old tenant. You can cancel this with your previous provider. If you previously purchased this directly from Microsoft, you can cancel these licenses within the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, under Billing > Your products.
