Setting up SpamAssassin

Are you getting a lot of annoying spam messages in your inbox and want to get rid of them? Then you can choose to set up extra spam protection. In this knowledge base article, we explain how you can do that.  

What is spamassassin?

Spamassassin functions as an extra security layer on your current mailbox. By properly configuring Spamassassin, you can block a lot of spam. 

How do you get there?

Click on Email Management on the left in the control panel and then Spamassassin Setup.

The correct configuration

This configuration works best in most cases. If you receive a lot of spam, you can set the score threshold to low. The lower the threshold, the stricter it is configured.

You can also block email addresses that frequently send spam, or whitelist an email address that is incorrectly marked as spam.
