Set up an email account in Gmail
If you have web hosting with mijn.host and have already created an email account, you can add this created email account in Gmail. This allows you to send and receive email with the email address from your hosting package, directly from Gmail
1. Add email account in Gmail
Go to https://gmail.com and log in with your Google account. Once logged in, click the settings icon in the top right corner, and click on "Settings".
Click on the "Accounts and Import" tab and then on "Add a mail account".
2. Enter email address
A popup will now appear where you can add the email account. First, enter the email address of the email account you wish to add
On the next page, choose: "Import emails from my other account (POP3)".
3. Enter server settings

Password | Enter the password for your email account here |
POP server | mail.uw-domein.nl |
Port | 995 |
Other | - Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server |
Now click on "Add account". The account will now be added.
4. Configure outgoing email
From now on, you will also receive your email in your Gmail mailbox. Do you also want to be able to send emails from Gmail using the email account from your hosting package? Then follow the remaining steps of the setup.
Choose "Yes, I want to be able to send mail as info@uw-domein.nl". And click on "Next?".
Enter your name and click on Next. This name will be displayed in the mailbox of the recipient of your sent mail.
Now you are asked for the settings of the
outgoing mail. Enter the following here.Outgoing settings (SMTP):

Username | Enter your email address here |
Password | Enter the password of your email account here |
Secure connection via SSL | Checked |
Click on "Add account". A security code will now be sent to your email account. Copy the code or click the link in the email.
Your email account is now correctly set up in Gmail. You can now receive and send email from Gmail.
