How many emails can I send per day?

A standard limit is set on all hosting packages for the number of emails you can send per day. At mijn.host, you can send 500 emails per day.

We have chosen 500 emails per day to prevent potential spam abuse. If a lot of spam is sent from a shared hosting server, the server can end up on a spam list. This then affects the email of all customers on the server.

I have reached the limit, what now?

If you have reached the limit, you will no longer be able to send email for that day, resulting in bounce messages stating that your email cannot be sent. If someone was trying to send spam, it will be noticed quickly and stopped this way.

If you want to send larger amounts (bulk) of email, it is better to look into specialized services such as SendGrid, Mailgun, or Mailchimp. These services can even be integrated directly into WordPress.

If you still want a higher limit, this is possible in some cases. For this, you can contact customer service.
