Connect domain to Shopify

The domain you have registered can be linked to Shopify hosting.

 

Linking a domain from the mijn.host control panel

Once logged in, you will immediately see a list of domain names under your account. Click on the domain name for which the DNS needs to be changed. At the top of the webpage, there is a button with "DNS settings". Click this button to change the DNS settings.

 

Delete the A and AAAA records, you can keep the *-records if email needs to continue being routed through us.

 

Delete the above records and click the "Save" button.

 

Create new records

We will set the A-records and add the Shopify CNAME.

@        A        23.227.38.65
@        AAAA     2620:0127:f00f:5::
www    CNAME        shops.myshopify.com.

Please note: The CNAME ends with a dot!

Applying the DNS settings can take up to 3 hours before everything is fully processed. After this, the domain will be linked to Shopify.

 

Linking a domain to Shopify from DirectAdmin

Log in to DirectAdmin. See article: https://mijn.host/kb/hoe-log-ik-in-op-directadmin/.

DNS Management

Go to DNS Management, under Account Manager.

Delete the A and AAAA records for www and the domain.

Delete AAAA records


We will set the A-records and add the Shopify CNAME.

@        AAAA      2620:0127:f00f:5::
www    CNAME    shops.myshopify.com.
