The year 2026 is just around the corner and we would like to give you a preview of what will change and what will remain the same at my.host. Over the past year, we have made significant progress, and we have ambitious plans for the coming year as well. In this blog post, an overview of all developments and rates for 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To get straight to the point: the rates for both hosting and most domain extensions will remain unchanged in 2026. Despite rising costs in the market, we find it important to keep our services affordable and to provide our customers with stability and reliability. This is possible because we continue to grow as a company and can therefore negotiate cheaper purchasing rates with our suppliers, partially offsetting inflation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SIDN, the organization responsible for the registration of .nl domains, has announced another increase in the .nl rate from \u20ac4.25 to \u20ac4.38 per year (+2.9%). Last year<\/a>, a similar increase was implemented. According to SIDN, this increase is necessary due to inflation and investments in their ICT systems. To continuously improve our services, we continue to invest in our hosting platform. In some exceptional use cases, we found that the performance did not always meet the high standards we want to offer. Therefore, we are currently implementing a comprehensive upgrade of our server infrastructure: we are transitioning from Intel processors to the latest generation AMD processors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The results from our tests are very positive. New hosting packages and VPS servers are now delivered standard on these AMD platforms. An additional benefit is that our hosting environment becomes even more energy-efficient and latency is further improved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2025 was a special year for my.host in which we made significant progress in many areas. A few highlights:<\/p>\n\n\n\n We launched a completely revamped WP manager in our control panel<\/a>, with features such as automatic updates, security checks, and easy management for all your WordPress installations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n One of the biggest updates was the introduction of our own Public Cloud platform<\/a>. Customers can now run flexible, scalable, and high-performance workloads on our own Dutch cloud infrastructure. We aim to provide a solution for the growing demand for Dutch cloud solutions. The infrastructure is fully sovereign and complies with both European and Dutch legislation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n An achievement we are incredibly proud of: my.host achieved the 16th place in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50<\/a>, confirming our rapid growth in the Netherlands. The Technology Fast 50 is the annual ranking of the fastest-growing technology companies in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our commitment to sustainability and social impact was rewarded with the Pax8 Social Impact Award<\/a>. We received this recognition for our efforts to use technology to make a positive social impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although these costs are rising for us, we will once again not pass on the rate increase to our customers. Due to the large number of domain names we manage, we now receive a volume discount at SIDN, which partially compensates for the increase. Although this discount is marginal, it helps to limit the impact and allows us to keep the price unchanged for our customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\nUpgrade to the latest AMD processors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
